Butter is Hosting an Aussie Artist’s Tour and You’re Invited

Our favourite fried chicken and tunes joint in Sydney, Butter, has teamed up with a mix of the old and new to host an Aussie Artists Tour starting right now at Butter. Selected for their influence on their respective scenes, the artists include the likes of Horrorshow, Yibby, Mason Dane, and Sydney Youngins alongside four local LGBTQ+ artists to celebrate World Pride Month in Sydney this March.

All the specials below have created as a collaboration between the artists and Butter’s very own tortured artist, Executive Chef Julian Cincotta who says he’s honoured to work on the tour.

“At Butter, we are all about celebrating talent – especially our local talent – these are the people who make our city great and take us to the world! We are honoured to be working with these amazing local artists and we look forward to working with many many more as they take their craft to the world!”

  • The Good Problems Katsu Sando – fried chicken thigh filet, tonkotsu glaze, pickled daikon, konbu onions.

The abercrombie 5

The Abercrombie Opens Italo-Disco Rooftop

When the Abercrombie opens later this month, the multi-level party palace will be home to three unique experiences. For the first time, the top floor and hidden rooftop will open to the public as Casa Rosa, a playful late-night Italo-disco cocktail lounge with rooftop terrazza inspired by an NYC icon. The venues adjoining terraces will become Lil Sis, a neighbourhood wine bar and shop with an ex-Monopole sommelier curating the wines.

“Our vision for The Abercrombie is a welcoming, day-to-late-night destination for Sydney that delivers a diverse range of experiences,” said CEO of Solotel, Elliot Solomon. “We want it to be a place that the local community feel is their own, whether that’s picking up a bottle of wine, enjoying a slice of pizza in the beer garden, or soaking up the sun on the rooftop. The Abercrombie is a place you can come to any day, night, or early morning and have a fun experience.”

Inspired by the iconic Palazzo Chupi ‘pink house’ in New York, the space is awash in colour with plush lounges, original contemporary art, and a layout designed to feel like you’re partying in that fabulously eclectic friend’s home. Inside the vibes are Neapolitan colour-washed walls, green leather lounges, yellow and black terrazzo tables with delicate scalloped edges, and pink leather director’s chairs. Outside on the rooftop, built-in booth seating with lobster red cushions surround a central 3.5-metre-long red and green terrazzo communal table, an ideal spot for soaking up that inner-city sunset.
